Can my child still communicate with me if there is a need?

Explains how The Commons affects a student's ability to communicate with parents or caregivers during the school day.

Last updated on 20 Jul, 2025

Yes. The Commons does not block phone calls or text messages. If your child needs to reach you—or you need to reach them—that’s still possible. Our app does not interfere with or slow down basic communication functions.

That said, schools often have their own guidelines about when and how phones can be used during the day. We recommend checking your school’s specific policy or student handbook for more details on what's allowed during school hours.
