How do I download and activate The Commons app?

The Commons is a free mobile app that helps students stay focused by reducing distractions during the school day. Downloading and activating the app is quick and only needs to be done once.

📲 Step-by-Step: Download the App

For iPhone (Apple App Store):

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.

  2. Search for "The Commons: Students", or use this link:
    Download on the App Store

  3. Tap Get to install the app.

For Android (Google Play Store):

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.

  2. Search for "The Commons: Students", or use this link:
    Download on Google Play Store

  3. Tap Install to begin the download.

âś… How to Activate the App

  1. Open the app after downloading.

  2. Use your school issued email to log in.

    1. Otherwise Scan the QR code provided by your school — this connects the app to your school’s setup - if you were not provided a unique QR code - don't worry about this.

  3. Accept the required permissions.

  4. That’s it!

đź”’ Important Notes

  • The app will only function when you're on campus during school hours.

  • The required permissions are used strictly for technical functionality and are never used to collect personal content, track movement outside of school zones, or share data with third parties. Disabling these permissions may prevent the App from working as intended. School administrators may be alerted if a required permission is missing.
